About Ridgeline Roof Care

Ruan Botha started Ridgeline in 2015 after years on roofs for a painting contractor, where he saw how many roofs were painted over dirt and failed within a season. Cleaning properly first became the whole business.

Ten years on the team is six people, all trained for working at heights, and the business carries public liability insurance for roof work. We cover George, Mossel Bay, Knysna, Wilderness and Sedgefield.

How we work

We inspect before we quote and choose the method by roof type, because high pressure ruins old or painted tiles. Gutters are cleared on every clean. Sealing and painting are quoted separately, with the products named, so you know what is going on your roof.

Garden Route roofs

The coast means salt and black algae; the forests mean moss and lichen under the trees. Most roofs here want a clean every three to five years, sooner in the shade.
